Setup guide (Tuya WiFi SOS button + Smart Life)
- Install the free Smart Life app and create an account for your property.
- Connect your phone to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network.
- Hold the CALL button for 5–10 seconds until the LED blinks fast.
- In the app tap "+" → Add device → Security & Sensors → SOS button (Wi-Fi) and enter your WiFi password.
- Rename the device, e.g. "Checkout · Sea View Apt 3".
- Allow Smart Life notifications on your phone and disable battery optimisation for the app.
- Share the device with your cleaners: Profile → Home management → Add member.
- Press the button to test, then mount the plaque next to the exit door.
Tip: if your router broadcasts 2.4 and 5 GHz under the same name, stand close to the router while pairing. We can also walk you through the setup on a video call.

Checkout Button (Botón Checkout) is a wall plaque with a WiFi, battery-powered push button that guests press when they leave an Airbnb, holiday rental, hostel or hotel. The cleaning company instantly gets a push notification on their phone, so they can start cleaning before the official checkout time.
How do I know when guests have checked out of my Airbnb?
Airbnb does not tell hosts or cleaners when a guest actually leaves. With Checkout Button, guests press the button by the door as they leave and your cleaners get an instant notification. In our case study in Santa Pola (Spain), more than 70% of guests press it.
Which app receives the notification?
The free Smart Life / Tuya Smart app (iOS and Android). You can share the button with several people, so the host and every cleaner get the alert.
